We met in downtown Springfield and then made our way to Lake Springfield, giving us the perfect mix of city and nature for their photos. These two are so comfortable together, and it made capturing their connection feel so effortless. We were racing a spring storm, but they settled in so naturally in front of the camera and made the whole evening so much fun.
Getting to know Kate and Cooper was such a joy, and I already can’t wait to celebrate them at their wedding next month!

Over the last 15 years of documenting my couples on the best day of their lives, I’ve met so many amazing people who quickly turned into friends. I hope that can be our story, too.
On the rare occasion that I’m not capturing a special moment, you can catch me spending my time with an incredible man who makes me laugh until I cry. I also tend to believe that a house is not a home until paw prints paint the floors. And admittedly, I cry at most movies, especially the romantic ones. Editing days consist of Dr. Pepper and take-out, while days off require country drives and visiting local wineries to listen to live music and take in a golden sunset. Hands down, it’s one of the best parts about Central Illinois.
